One of them is a larger set, which fires Giant Cannonballs. There are also rotating sets of four Cannons that fire Cannonballs in random directions. These giant Cannons fire Giant Cannonballs. Giant black cannons that resemble black Warp Pipes also appear.
On World 8's Airship, Cannons constantly fire Cannonballs. The player must avoid their Bob-ombs that they fire, as well as the Bob-ombs themselves to safely reach the door to Ludwig von Koopa's boss battle. They will constantly fire Bob-ombs in World 7's Fortress, at the player. They are mostly found on Airships or in Fortresses. Make sure to save up your Star Coins first, though - it costs 90 Star Coins to open the path to the first Star level (the rest are on the house).Cannons are obstacles in New Super Mario Bros. After the credits, the Star World will be unlocked, and you can get there by clicking the icon on the touch screen from the map. To get to the Star World, all you have to do is beat the final boss in the final castle of World 6. Go through the pipe and survive your way to the end - be careful not to be squished by the tricky blocks of death! Make it to the end and to the top of the flagpole to unlock the Warp Cannon level that takes you to the Flower World. follow the right block to find a Mini Warp Pipe. In the castle, proceed as normal until you see the first set of small square blocks that float up and eventually separate - they occur fairly early on in the level. You can get a couple of Mini Mushrooms in Level 3-B. You get there by going the secret route in the World's first castle - but you'll need to be mini Mario for it to work. To get to the Flower World, you need to unlock the Warp Cannon in World 3. Dash your way through the Warp Cannon level to unlock the Mushroom World. Hit the flagpole, and when you're taken back to the Map the road to the Warp Cannon will unlock. Hurry, and be careful not to get yourself squished! You'll be taken to a room with a Golden Warp Pipe - go through the pipe to get to the very end of the level. Go through the door and follow the Snake Blocks through the hole on the right of the screen. Just after the Midway Flag, you'll see a door.
To do this, go to the first castle in that world. To get to the Mushroom World, you need to unlock the Warp Cannon in World 1.
